PSoC POGO Programming Adapter

When I was doing a lot of AVR Programming, I had a few ISP pogo pin programming adapters (example #1, example #2) that made programming very quick and easy without using a dedicated connector on the target PCB. Since I started doing more projects with SMD components over the past 4 years or so, my personal parts collection has really started to become unorganized. I purchased a couple of Box-All storage containers from AideTek to physically store components, and they have proven to be very good! However, I really didn’t have a good method for keeping track of what components I actually had in inventory. This led to buying components I already had when I started new projects. (more)

Re-evaluating PCB Design Software

In the past, I’ve done much of my PCB design in KiCAD, Eagle, or DipTrace. While KiCAD is a nice Open Source package (and was great to use when I was teaching), I’ve become somewhat tired of it’s awkward interface and clunky workflow when going from schematic to PCB layout. When I was teaching, I had a friend of mine ask me if I could review a grant proposal that his startup company (OtolithLabs) had written. In the proposal, they discussed a new device that would help with motion sickness by applying low frequency audio (or even sub audible frequencies) behind the subject’s ear.
